Portland, another drug crack bust!

PORTLAND (WGME) -- Police along with the Maine DEA blocked off part of Ocean Avenue in Portland Wednesday night to serve a search warrant, and detained four people.

Among the four detained, authorities tell CBS 13 that at least one will be arrested for aggravated drug trafficking.

Police carried out the raid at 144 Ocean Ave on the second floor apartment where they believe at least one person was selling crack-cocaine.

Drug agents say they acted quickly because the apartment is so close to the Ocean Ave Elementary School. The sign for the school is on the same corner as the home.

Sgt. Scott Pelletier with the MDEA says they brought in a tactical team to help serve the search warrants because of the people involved. They say the suspects are known to police, and officers wanted to take every precaution before serving the warrant. Pelletier says no one was hurt during the operation.
